My Darling Doreen I just want to say these things to you , because losing you has devastated me. You always looked out for me from a new born baby and as very young child. you we’re constantly there throughout my life. 71 years you played such an important part of my life. You was so gentle, so kind , so beautiful, inside and out. You were a good listener, and gave the best advice. Also together we had complete trust . Everything we spoke about remained with “ US” we were true and loyal to one another. Every time I here the Carpenters song “Close To You” or Sade singing “Cherish The Love” it immediately brings you to mind. But one song in particular that for me relates to you the most is “ You are You Are My Sunshine 🌞 because you are, and you were.
Doreen you were a brilliant Mum , your children are a credit to you. Amanda being the eldest we’ll she’s fabulous, beautiful, so kind, and caring, I see a lot of you in her , she always enjoyed as she said in her own words to have a “ Giggle With You” losing you has left a massive gap in her life . Stuart the second eldest, the most wonderful Son you could have ever been blessed with. Your rock , handsome too. He has played a massive part in your life making things that were hard to cope with easier, and more bearable. Giving you more of a normal home life. He tried to give you normality something you desperately needed. His tenacity has overwhelmed me. Stuart has gone above and beyond. He certainly did what your beloved Fred asked of him. “ Look After Your Mum for me” An obligation he had on his shoulders since he last saw his father on 30th August 1987. Hold your head high Stuart and tell yourself, “ I Did My Best, I Fulfilled My Fathers Wishes” because you DID. And you have always been there for your sisters and nieces. You have made your father proud. Mum too. Last but not least your Daughter Donna with a heart of pure gold , she did so much for you, gave back everything you had ever done for her. She is a beautiful girl she cared for you so much. Spending endless hours doing everything she possibly could to make your life comfortable. Taking care of you and meeting your needs. Seeing you suffering has taken its toll on her and losing you has wrenched her heart out. Donna is really traumatised over losing you , as it was her, that spent the most time with you ,”QUALITY TIME” . Sharon who was a brilliant Daughter In Law, she has to be commended and recognised for all the emotional and physical support she has given you over the years, something you would be very proud of and thankful. She is sad and is going to miss you tremendously. They ALL loved you . You were their everything their world. The love just radiates from them all.
Your fantastic Grandchildren. James I’ll always remember, how excited you were when he was born. You were so elated . He was your first Grandchild and you were so proud. he has grown into a fine handsome young man graduating at University and making you immensely proud I know . Your Granddaughter Cary’s you were blessed with she’s a beautiful girl, she is out going and so full of determination to succeed , and is achieving so much in her life. You would be so proud of her. And Brooke, your beautiful Granddaughter tender hearted such a caring girl . I know how you loved Brooke. She was like another Daughter to you. Living with you from birth. Always by your side. You loved your Granddaughter Brooke immensely. She played a massive part in caring for you. Giving back to you what you taught her. She is heartbroken over losing her Nan. Losing you has had a great impact on her. And last, but not least Olivia a wonderful beautiful Granddaughter who is gentle, and kind very clever and is a wonderful baker also extremely creative as you yourself were . She gets that from her Nan. And I know your children and Grandchildren are so sad losing you. They will experience this massive loss for a long while to come. The same as what I will, and that of my family. But time is of a great healer and the rawness of losing you will diminish.
You weren’t just my cousin. You were my big Sister that I never had. I looked up to you you were my inspiration. You taught me never to give up when life got hard to cope with, to march on regardless. Something you yourself learned to do through everything that life threw at you. And it really did challenge you at times you never gave up you always rode the waves of despair , losses caring for people you loved who were sick and very ILL Fred, your Mum , your Dad , and Tony most people could have never coped with what you endured . Doreen you were brave, and stronger than you ever imagined yourself coping with what you had to , you were tenacious. As a person you always saw good in everyone You were always so laid back. If anyone did something wrong you would turn your eyes to the side look up and say “ What Are You Like” and smile. You had the most beautiful smile. You were family orientated, and it was “ Family “ that meant the most to you. I love you, and will miss you so very much. We ALL have very fond memories of you . My seven children all loved spending time with you, weekends at your house , and you taking them out and about with Donna. They came home all so excited to tell me what they had done with their Auntie Doreen and Donna. They have such wonderful memories embedded in their hearts. They all have so much respect, and love for you . “LEGACY “is the most precious, treasured gift of all you have left with us. And we will continue the happiness you instilled in us , and to to make happiness continue, and make more memories that we will leave as our legacies to our children. It is imperative that we endeavour to focus on the positive influences of your legacy Doreen, and WE ALL WILL . Your Legacy “ FAMILY”. will be empowered . We will always be “ Close To You” and “ Cherish The Love “ that was simply YOU DOREEN. Rest in peace darling until we meet again. We know you will always be around us looking down on us. My children loved their Auntie Doreen. You were their cousin too, but out of respect they always called you Auntie Doreen. Your eternal flame 🔥will never be extinguished. Your soul is immortal. We love you so very much Auntie Doreen, we know you were our cousin but to us you was our Auntie Doreen as we had so much respect for you and you were older than us❤️ It’s so heartbreaking seeing you not so long ago, holding your hand and seeing that beautiful smile of yours, I knew you were still there inside. Until we meet again, rest in peace, you are now an Angel and reunited with everyone you lost whilst you was living here on Earth. Until we meet again I’ll think of you often and cherish all those lovely memories we all shared. I’ll never forget that beautiful smile and that gentle soft voice full of love. I still can’t believe you’re gone 💔 I can feel you around us all in spirit.
Stuart, Sharon, James, Olivia, Amanda, Carys, Donna and Brooke Mum is so very proud of you all. I am so very sorry for your loss. Stay strong and hang on in there as Mum/Nan would have wanted that. I love you all and will be there for any of you if you ever need me to be. Family is everything. God bless you all. Sleep tight Auntie Doreen😔🙏🏼❤️ I love you, we all do. Much love from Rebecca, Jayden, Harvey, Jude, Jayne, David, Rachel and Simon ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 👼👼👼👼❤️❤️❤️❤️
